Make Local mission statement

Make Local began as a two-day build. Tyler Moock and Jaeden John assembled the venture in under forty-eight hours for the America 250 Startup Competition, a national program aligned with the United States Semiquincentennial in 2026. The work advanced from that opening sprint to the semifinal round in San Mateo, California, where it stood among the top fifty teams in the country. The field was deep with funded ventures and experienced founders. The team carried a proposal written over a single weekend all the way to the national semifinals.

The competition invited founders to honor and advance the next era of American innovation. Make Local answered with a system. The country develops the most advanced fabrication tools on earth, and Make Local extends full access to the small businesses and local communities able to use them. The operating unit is the microfactory, a compact distributed production facility wired into the broader network and sharing methodology across nodes.

The thesis is condensed. Capital concentrates at the frontier. Five firms committed three hundred sixty four billion dollars to artificial intelligence infrastructure in 2025. Private investment across every other fixed-asset category has entered decline. The frontier reaches the rest of the country only through a deliberate bridge. Make Local is built to be that bridge.

Make Local is the catalyst to save American making.
Make Local mood board: industrial visual research

A network that builds capacity.

Make Local optimizes for capacity. The platform grows the actual production capability of the network and widens the surface on which American research and development can be put to work at the local level. Every microfactory joined to the network raises the total capacity available to the community around it.

Brand as thesis.

The identity is American without nostalgia. The visual language draws from industrial documentation, factory-floor signage, and editorial design that takes its subject seriously. The wordmark sits within a flag, and the flag is deliberate. The system is built for the specific conditions of American making in 2026.

The platform is live. Documentation, design system, and editorial voice are visible at the production address.
